Month In Review: June 2018

Friday, 6/1/2018 – It’s hard to believe that on 6/1/2018, we celebrated our FIFTH wedding anniversary!  Completely and utterly exhausted by work and life, we celebrated by eating pizza, watching Jumanji and passing out on the couch at 8:30pm, after an extremely long week at work for both of us.  We’re such exciting people!  We did do some hopeful talk about what our anniversaries might look like in a few years, though…hopefully somewhere warm, enjoying cocktails on a boat is in the cards!

Some Fifth Anniversary Love.

Saturday, 6/2/2018 – I actually got a bit teary eyed when we picked up our LAST check from our Co-Op stand.  That’s right, Operation Purge The House Of “Stuff” is COMPLETE!  Over the last 10 months, the Co-Op stand helped us sell 555 items for a total of $1230.09!  We’re really, really pleased with how well we did (and how much stuff we unloaded)!

After 10 months of being packed to the brim, the Co-Op stand looks so sad being EMPTY!

Saturday, 6/9/2018Finally, a weekend day that it didn’t rain!  We spent the day cleaning up outside (for the first time since our trees on the roof disaster in mid-May) and made a bunch of progress.  It was pretty damn peaceful listening to the birds chirp and sing after a busy day of outside chores…

I’m going to miss this view…

Friday, 6/15/2018 – Sunday, 6/17/2018 – The family trip to Maine was upon us!  Unfortunately, Alexis had to work on Saturday and wasn’t able to make it, but, Josh got to see Maine.  And take a bunch of photos!  We’ve decided that Acadia National Park and the Bar Harbor area are places that we’ll definitely want to return to and spend some time checking out, together.  Interested in his route?  Click here to see his journey!

Sunday, 6/17/2018 – We celebrated a pretty HUGE milestone!  WOOT WOOT!  (What’s next, you ask?  Find out here!)

Friday, 6/22/2018 – WOOHOO!  Finally time for some FUN!  And for a good cause, too!  Our second time attending the annual Pours For Prostates event.  Strawberry cider, blackberry wine and some really great bluegrassy tunes from Colebrook Road.

Monday, 6/25/2018 – Friday, 6/29/2018 – Ya know…there’s definitely something to be said for returning to an employer who is actively interested in helping you grow.  I spent the week in Temple University’s Strengths-Based Leadership certification program which was a nice opportunity to get to spend some time with like-minded professionals.

Saturday, 6/30/2018 – We finally had a decent day to be able to unbury the contents of the smushed shed to take some pictures for the insurance company.  What a MESS!
