Tuesday, 10/2/2018 – A terrific Tuesday, for sure!  More work got done on the house AND we submitted our applications to get passports in anticipation of our January 2019 trip to Bonaire!

Wednesday, 10/3/2018 – A quick trip to West Shore Scuba and we paid the remaining money for our January 2019 Bonaire trip!  The only things left to do are get our luggage situation sorted out and get our passports in a few weeks and we’ll be set!  Oh, and, more progress on our house!  *Insert happy dance!*

Saturday, 10/6/2018 – A few cocktails, a little horse betting and a few pulls of the slot machine handles made a pretty fun Saturday night!  We didn’t win much, but, we didn’t loose too much either, so, it was a good night out.

Monday, 10/8/2018 – Monday.  Columbus Day.  Ally High-Yield Savings Account interest rate increase.  Yoga Diver distinctive specialty cards in the mailbox.  More work completed on our house.  WINNING!

Monday, 10/15/2018 – Another Monday…another day spent daydreaming about our eventual escape from the rat race.  On the upside of things, Josh’s passport renewal came in the mail today.  And, we received approval from the contractor that was working on our house to FILL the 2/3’s empty dumpster sitting in our driveway before they haul it away next week!  I am SO excited for the weekend to be able to get rid of a bunch more stuff!

Saturday, 10/20/2018 – Sunday, 10/21/2018 – The weekend was well spent, taking advantage of the opportunity to fill the dumpster with more stuff purged from the house.  (How the HELL did two 30-something’s get so much stuff?!)  We also spent some time researching Tortuga 2019 because, well, WE’RE GOING!  2019 is shaping up to be quite the year already!

Monday, 10/22/2018 – Today was a pretty exciting day.  For the first time in my life, I am the official owner of a PASSPORT!  Small time for most people that have had passports for years, but, a pretty significant step for me in connecting the dots toward making our “dream” a reality.  It’s the little things…

Wednesday, 10/24/2018 – Josh turned 37 today!  I tried to get him to make a list of 37 items with some type of theme to post for his birthday blog post, but, that idea was pretty quickly rejected.  I’ll see if I can con him into it next year!

Friday, 10/26/2018 – Sunday, 10/28/2018 – We originally planned to head to Key Largo for Josh’s birthday weekend, but, reconsidered the expenditure when we learned thaat our homeowner’s insurance company was fiddling around with approving additional work to be done at our house.  Did you know that a house sided in two different colors of siding is all the rage these days?!  Yeah…apparently Progressive is current on all the trends while the rest of the world is completely oblivious, I guess.  So, we decided to forego the Key Largo trip in order to be better financially prepared to pay, out of pocket, to have the rest of the siding done on our house so it’s actually the same color.  We decided to head to Kent Island for the weekend to celebrate Josh’s birthday instead.  Despite the rainy weather, we had a great time.  We hit the Stevensville Crab Shack on Friday, ate all three meals at The Jetty on Saturday and then grabbed a quick breakfast at The Jetty before heading home on Sunday.  I wasn’t on call and it was definitely nice to get away for a long weekend!
